Welcome to the Oak Park Area Association of REALTORS® (OPAAR)! New members are required to attend a New Member Orientation course. In this class, you will learn about the resources available to you through your membership with the Oak Park Area Association of REALTORS®, Illinois REALTORS® (IR), and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
You must also complete the following training:
- NAR New Member Code of Ethics (COE) training online. Upon completion, email your certificate of completion to info@oakparkrealtors.org. Click HERE to sign up for the NAR New Member Code of Ethics training. (Note: The NAR New Member Code of Ethics training is not approved for continuing education credit in Illinois.)
- NAR New Member Orientation online course. Upon completion, email your certificate of completion to info@oakparkrealtors.org. Click HERE to sign up for the NAR New Member Orientation.
- NAR instituted a Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training requirement for every member to coincide with the Code of Ethics training timeline. This requirement is in addition to the Code of Ethics training. Qualified training must be of at least 2 hours of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. This requirement began January 1, 2025, with a deadline of December 31, 2027.
